Fantastic news that Poppy has been found. 💚REUNITED💚

Did you walk to the location she went missing or drive? If you drove and Poppy likes travelling in the car then go back and park in the exact spot and take some items of clothing and smelly food. Leave door open and place items just outside. Start your vehicle a few times and she may recognise the sound and make her way back to the car.

Do you actually use drones to search for dogs listed here - I’ve not heard anything?

Catherine Capewell 4 Apr, 16:15

Yes we have drone pilots and ground searchers who will make contact if available.

Thank you

Sorry to hear that Poppy is missing. Can you tell me where she went missing from? Was it on a walk and if so did you walk or drive to the location and how far is it from home?

Bronia Hill 4 Apr, 15:05

The walk is only a 5 min drive from the house but Poppy is a rescue who we’ve only had 3 weeks so she won’t know where to go.

Catherine Capewell 4 Apr, 16:14

Poppy would have started to bond with you and will recognise your sent. So it is important to leave a gate , door open giving clear unrestricted access into the home should she try to return and ensure someone is home at all times. Place some unwashed clothing belonging to the person that Poppy is most bonded with in a sheltered area near to the door that she uses with a small amount of strong smelling food. Tell people not to search in groups. If sighted , it is important that a missing dog is not shouted , whistled , grabbed or chased as this may cause them to run . If sighted , contact owner or point of contact immediately noting time , location , direction of travel .

Thats really useful, thank you.
