I can confirm that Erine has been found and returned to the dog sitters taking care of Erine, shortly after I arrived in the area to look.

He has been there since Wednesday night. He has stayed there a few times before. It is about 7 miles from my house. My mum and dads house is not too far from my friends and he goes there everyday.

As Ernie knows your friend's house and your mum and dad's house, I would advise that you ask both to leave a gate/door open giving clear access into their homes and ensure that someone is in at all times. Securely place some unwashed clothing near the door and a small amount of smelly food. Ask them both to make neighbours aware.
