Mark is correct there is a blanket ban on drone flights without prior permission. Any pilot wishing to fly can email Email arops@caa.co.uk and seek permission to fly. With a valid reason I'm sure they will be willing to allow flights under their terms and conditions. I'm away at the moment but hopefully this information is helpful to anyone who can potentially get a drone out to help obviously obtaining the relevant permission from the email address I've supplied.
