New sighting reported. Description: Tessie was found by a neighbour wandering around nearby and knocked on our door. She is now back home safe and sound but is quite disorientated

Try to remain in the area should Tessie try to return and also allow an access into your home just in case Tessie tries to return home and ensure someone is in . Leave a light on in your home overnight and check any cctv , doorbell ring camera footage to see if you can see Tessie . Place some unwashed clothing belonging to the person who Tessie is most bonded with by the open door that Tessie uses with a small amount of strong smelling food , some water . Most dogs will try to return once they have settled ( and she’s had a big scare ) , once they have settled , if they are able and importantly , if they aren’t spooked further away . Contact local vets , rescues and the dog warden just in case anyone has maybe found Tessie and handed her in - do this even if Tessie is microchipped .

Please refer to the “ How it works “ section of our website, which will take you through , step by step , with detailed information and advice to follow when your dog is missing from home or whilst on a walk . Also refer to the section of our website which provides the emergency numbers to call if there are any nearby hazards . Notify the relevant authorities , who will put alerts out and remain vigilant .
