Also alert local farmers and land owners who will remain vigilant and report any sightings directly in to you .

Please register Indie with Doglost.co.uk if you haven’t already done so , they are also a free service , a national data base and will also alert local volunteers . You will get many more shares once registered . Also contact local vets , rescues and the dog warden just in case anyone has maybe found Indie and handed her in - do this even if Indie is microchipped . Thoroughly check neighbouring gardens ,sheds , garages , out buildings etc , just in case Indie is stuck or hiding . Allow an access into your home should indie try to return and ensure someone is in at all times . Check any cctv , doorbell ring camera footage to see if you can see Indie / which direction she may have gone . If you are able to get some unwashed clothing belonging to the person that indie is most bonded with or maybe previous owners ( I realise she’s only been with you a very short time ) leave this by the open door along with a small amount of strong smelling food . Most dogs will try to return once settled , if they are able and importantly if they aren’t chased or spooked further away .

Hi Victoria , we are sorry to hear that Indie is missing . Is Indie a new rescue to you please & if so , how far away are the rescue or previous owner ? Is there anyone in particular that Indie previously bonded with or another dog maybe ? PLEASE be SCAMMER aware we are a free service and will never contact you via WhatsApp offering to send out thermal drones at a cost. If you receive a message from anybody pretending to be me or any other member of the admin team IT IS A SCAM!! Please refer to the “ How it works “ section of our website, which will take you through , step by step , with detailed information and advice to follow when your dog is missing from home . Also refer to the section of our website which provides the emergency numbers to call if there are any nearby hazards . Notify the relevant authorities , who will put alerts out and remain vigilant .

Thankyou! She was fostered in Aylesbury - I believe she went in the direction of faringdon from grafton down near Kelmscott. We live rural so she will be hiding. She doesn’t bite but has no connection to me all of 2hrs. 1hr home and walked around the garden. My other 2 dogs of 15yrs have never escaped. She could be in a barn or hiding close by but I think she has bolted in t down roads etc. nearly 24hrs gone. Gutted. She needs months off trust from me before she will trust anyone.
