Please allow an access into your home and ensure someone is home at all times should Doris try to return . Leave a light on in your home overnight and keep checking any available cctv , doorbell ring camera footage to see if you can see Doris . Place some unwashed clothing belonging to the person who Doris is most bonded with by the open door that Doris uses , with a small amount of strong smelling food , some water . Thoroughly check neighbouring gardens , sheds , garages , out buildings in case Doris is stuck or hiding . Contact when open , local vets , rescues and the dog warden even if Doris is microchipped . Also register Doris with Doglost.co.uk . Most dogs will try to return once they have settled , if they are able and importantly if they aren’t chased or spooked further away .

If you receive a message from anybody pretending to be me or any other member of the admin team IT IS A SCAM!! Please refer to the “ How it works “ section of our website, which will take you through , step by step , with detailed information and advice to follow when your dog is missing from home . Also refer to the section of our website which provides the emergency numbers to call if there are any nearby hazards . Notify the relevant authorities , who will put alerts out and remain vigilant .
