Baldeep - I read on another post that Nova was only rehomed yesterday - is this correct please & if so , are the rescue aware or Nova’s previous owners aware ? Is there anyone who Nova was particularly bonded with who she might go to ? How far away was her previous home ?

Register Nova with Doglost.co.uk , they are also a free service , a national data base , they will also alert local volunteers and you will get many more shares once Nova is registered with them .

Please allow an access into your home should Nova try to return and ensure someone is home . Check any available cctv , doorbell ring camera footage to see if you can see Nova / which direction she may have gone . Leave a light on in your home overnight . Place some unwashed clothing belonging to the person that Nova is most bonded with by the open door that Nova uses with a small amount of strong smelling food , some water . Contact local vets , rescues and the dog warden even if Nova is microchipped in case anyone has maybe found Nova and handed her in . Most dogs will try to return ( home ) , once they have settled , if they are able and importantly if they aren’t chased or spooked further away . Check neighbouring gardens , sheds , garages , out buildings etc , in case Nova is stuck or hiding .

If you receive a message from anybody pretending to be me or any other member of the admin team IT IS A SCAM!! Please refer to the “ How it works “ section of our website, which will take you through , step by step , with detailed information and advice to follow when your dog is missing from home . Also refer to the section of our website which provides the emergency numbers to call if there are any nearby hazards . Notify the relevant authorities , who will put alerts out and remain vigilant .
