Is there anyone I can hire with a drone we’ve had people out looking since 11am

Anne Lewis 31 May, 20:31

If any of our volunteers are available they will post on here or contact you direct.

Rhiannon ord 31 May, 20:19

Still no further update and we are loosing daylight on him

Rhiannon ord 31 May, 15:23

Can I add a pin location of were he’s been spotted?

Anne Lewis 31 May, 16:38

Yes, of course.

Rhiannon ord 31 May, 15:12

Teddy has a positive match and been spotted at the mill between ushaw moor & newbrancepeth

Anne Lewis 31 May, 13:47

Please pass this advice to helpers. Please do not chase or shout if you see Teddy, use slow movements, don’t approach let him come to you. Do not look directly at him, sit or lie down, sniff the ground and speak softly. If he moves away follow at a safe distance. If sighted, it is important that no one tries to whistle, grab, shout or try to catch Teddy as he will likely run. Ask for any sightings to be reported in to you or your point of contact immediately, noting time, location and direction of travel. Poster the area widely.

Anne Lewis 31 May, 13:35

I’m sorry I have lost your post, this is a summary of what you said: 1 1/2 miles from home, Mum-in-law Lisa took him for walk with her two dogs, which she does often. 1 person at your house, 1 at Lisa’s, people searching in Broom park.

Anne Lewis 31 May, 13:37

Most dogs will return to their home or point of loss. Leave a gate/door open giving clear unrestricted access into the home and ensure someone is in at all times. Securely place some unwashed clothing belonging to the person that your dog is most bonded with near the door that he uses with a small amount of strong smelling food and some water. Please do this at both houses. Check any cctv in the area and make neighbours aware your dog is missing and ask them to check gardens, sheds, garages and any out buildings in case he is stuck or hiding . He hopefully won’t have gone too far and will be hiding and make his way back . Please register on DogLost it will reach more volunteers. Also contact your local vets and the dog warden. Post on local Facebook pages and put up posters around the area.

Unfortunately we’re he’s gone missing is just miles of woodland rivers and fields in every direction as we are on the rural outskirts of Durham we have both homes with the doors open just incase but there’s just no sightings nothing of him at all

Anne Lewis 31 May, 13:45

In that case it may be worth setting up a scent station where he went missing, unwashed clothes, smelly food, pilchards, smelly cheese. It will probably take a while for him to settle.

Anne Lewis 31 May, 13:07

Please refer to the “How it Works” section of our website, which will take you through step by step detailed information and advice to follow when your dog has become missing from home or on a walk. There is also a section with Emergency numbers, please refer to this and notify the relevant authority if there are nearby hazards. They will put alerts out and remain vigilant.

Anne Lewis 31 May, 13:05
