Hello, we have seen her near the house this morning and know she is close. Please could you not send anyone to look for her now. Less is more with her and I think with patience and enticement we will get her home. I think adding more volunteers to look for her at this point would be unnecessary and make her worse. Thank you so much

Bailey was spotted at approx 6:20am at the entrance of the woods behind where she went missing. She will be hiding in there rather than roaming

Hi Lucyanne, we are sorry to hear Bailey is missing. As your dog ran from home, she may try to return once she has settled. Most dogs will return to their home or point of loss. Please leave an access into your home and make sure that someone is there at all times. Securely place some unwashed clothing belonging to the person that your dog is most bonded with near the door that she uses with a small amount of strong smelling food and some water. Check any cctv in the area and make neighbours aware your dog is missing and ask them to check gardens, sheds, garages and any out buildings in case she is stuck or hiding. She hopefully won’t have gone too far and will be hiding and make her way back. Please register on DogLost as it will reach more volunteers. Also contact the local vets and the dog warden. Post on local Facebook pages and put up posters around the area. Notify the relevant transport networks from our “how it works section “ on our website, if there are nearby hazards, they will put alerts out and remain vigilant.
